R. A. “Bob” Challis  CFP, RHU, TEP

Senior Financial & Estate Planner

Bob’s helped clients navigate the economic landscape for more than 25 years. He has deep knowledge of strategies and tools involving financial, insurance, investment and estate planning and how to integrate all of these elements into a comprehensive plan. As a result, his clients enjoy increased confidence that comes from knowing they and their loved ones are financially secure.

Bob understands that many people feel overwhelmed by the seemingly endless number of wealth management strategies and products, often to the point of paralyzed inaction. He has a keen ability is to absorb and simplify multi-faceted financial situations. Acting as a coach, he assists his clients to identify priorities and helps them to understand their options using easy-to-understand language. From here, they are able to create a realistic, achievable, long-term financial action plan with confidence.

What Bob loves most about his profession is discovering his clients’ unique financial circumstances and how he can add economic value to those circumstances. It’s like solving a puzzle and it keeps each day fresh and interesting.

Giving back to the community is important to Bob. He’s the past chair of the Planned Giving Committee of the Canadian Cancer Society, Manitoba Division and the founding chair of the Winnipeg branch of the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners (STEP). Bob is also a regular contributor to the Money Make-overs column in the Winnipeg Free Press.

Because Bob’s career is mentally challenging and involves a lot of “desk time”, in his off hours he finds balance with lots of outdoor physical activities.
